What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is a peculiar kind of conversation. It is not social discourse, nor is it like a visit to an expert who gives explicit advice, nor is it like studying with a teacher or mentor or spiritual advisor. Therapy is based on the idea that thoughts and feelings you have with others will come into our relationship. When they do, we can have a close look at them, in the safety of a professional office.

My main goal is to understand and make sense of your feelings and experiences.  We will work together as a team to help you develop a better sense of agency and for you to understand that you have many options. You can choose your own path without being enslaved to old voices, stories and messages.
